Our Shadows

Once upon a time there was a young woman who danced with the devil.  She loved him, but he was unable to love her.  The young woman never gave up hope that one day he would find his heart and share it with her.  But what she did not know is the devil was born without a heart, and even though he desired to feel love, it was never meant to be. 

The young woman discovered this and asked God to be able to give half her heart to the devil.  As God denies no gifts he said "let it be so".  And this is how we all came to have shadow aspects.  For it was out of love that the devil was embraced and it is out of love that will make our hearts whole again.
